What’s all the “buzz” about native plants?

April Fisher, Native Plant Society member, will discuss the reasons why native plants are vital to our well-being as well as introduce several of the best natives to plant in the our gardens.

April Fisher is a Native Plant Society member and Master Gardener. She is a recipient of the Master Gardener Award of Excellence for her informative lectures on gardening and floral arranging. She has also won many awards for her floral arrangements and horticultural entries at the New Jersey State Fair. April and her husband, David, live in Stillwater and their garden along the Paulinskill River has been featured on the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Garden Tour. She is a teacher with the LACE program at SCCC and also volunteers at Project Self-Sufficiency in the Children’s Garden using her puppetry skills to share the joy of gardening hoping to inspire the next generation of gardeners.
